Teachers and students use presentations the most as products of content understanding, learning units, instructional videos or tutorials and so on.The market is full of software, apps and products that allow you to create beautiful presentations; however teachers rarely use just one. Some also integrate video and audio; however, here are a few I recommend for students and teachers for quick presentations.
Google Presentation (Slides):
Google has done it again with this common software application that is similar to Microsoft PowerPoint, allowing users to collaboratively create a presentation in Google Drive. If your lesson requires students to create a presentation, they can work collaboratively in groups using this application. You can also add animations, by going to "insert" animation from the main menu. You can apply to all slides or you can do it by one slide, similar to PowerPoint. (Tutorials available by searching YouTube.)
PowToon Slides:
PowToons has added Slides to its wonderful collection of editable videos, available online or in the Google App or iPad stores. This is exciting because you can embed video directly into your slides easily. I love the templates they offer for free and for an upgrade you can get premium slides. As students and educators, our limitation is in the length and access to the animated characters, props, text-types and other images.
My students often choose to create presentations and add their own voice using PowToons; they love it! (Tutorials on their site or search YouTube.)
eMaze:
A new innovative online presentation application. I just found this and am amazed at how beautiful they are and how easy it is to create Presentations integrating video and audio with graphic text that animates. Engage your audience with this new presentation software! (Tutorials on their site or search YouTube.)PowerPoints:
The most popular tool for creating awesome presentations, seamlessly allows you to upload them into Move-note for easy instruction of your PowerPoint slides, creating a screencast. You can also find a variety of PowerPoints to change and alter for use in your classroom at: Pete's PowerPoint Station.
You can also upload them to Author's Stream.
Adobe Captivate -
Adobe's Captivate 8 allows users to create a variety of interactive presentations. You can also combine other features for versatile presentations that are beautifully designed with impeccable graphics.
Animoto - Make great videos. Easily, upload your photos or pictures of your slides to create a presentation video style.
Prezi:
This presentation tool is hosted online through the Internet. You can create a presentation, similar to PowerPoint; however, this allows you to zoom in or out to gain a closer view of your slides. Mostly popular because it allows you to place larges amounts of text, pictures or video for presentation and each one is set along a path, which can be changed for optimal presentation. You can watch a tutorial here for teachers.

Flowboard
This online site allows students to create online interactive presentations or portfolios.
Padlet:

This is a unique type of presentation, as you create a wall of pictures as a display type of presentation and you can add links too.
SlideShare:

Google Presentations: Similar to PowerPoint, yet run through Google drive, these Presentations are easy to create.
They're easy to share and run -- wow! And there's a new version for the web.
